Hi. I’m Marcus Efstratiou (that’s eff-strer-dee-you – it’s Greek).

In my 38 and-a-bit years, I’ve been a professional drummer, an English teacher, and a fish deliverer (that’s all the major life experiences covered then).

And since autumn 2009 I’ve been crafting potent copy and elegant concepts for some pretty first-rate brands.

In fact, I’ve been asked back by every single agency or client I’ve worked for; so whatever the brief, I’d say I’m a safe bet.

And in case you’re in danger of taking my word for it, here are some kind words from former colleagues:

Knowing Marcus is sitting in that freelancer’s desk ready to save your day is a great thing. He gets it – quick. His writing is sharp. He’s got a strong, capable point of view. On top of it all, he listens to feedback. Imagine that? Actually, don’t imagine it, see/hear/read for yourself. When it comes to copywriting, Marcus is your man.

Associate Creative Director

Since launching our new digital team earlier this year, we’ve repeatedly drafted Marcus in to help us as part of our drive to get new business. He is one of those rare creatives – a talented writer who’s also great at crafting bold, fresh concepts that work in the real world. His eye for detail, his sharp intelligence, and his creative sensibility has been an invaluable help in pitching for – and winning – major new contracts. Need I say more?

Hiring in a freelance writer can be a risky business, especially with a tight deadline to meet. So we’re extremely lucky to have found Marcus. His writing is always spot-on, he’s versatile, quick-witted, and a very friendly guy to boot. Whether it’s long or short copy – be it a new client website, or crafting that all-important piece of brand communication, Marcus always delivers exactly what we’re after. Nowadays, whenever we need a writer at short notice, it’s a no-brainer who we go to first.
